DECA Candle Lip Balms & Mini-Giveaway! {ended}

I'm a bit in love with these balms! They are fantastic! And guess what?! I have one extra, so I'm having a mini-giveaway! Instructions at end of post! :)

WHERE TO FIND:

Found these lovely lippies at DECA Candle and Bath!

PRICE:

Balms are set at $3 each, but I ordered the 4-pack for $10. I thought it was a pretty good deal!

SHIPPING & PACKAGING:

Shipping was pretty decent. For the 4-pack I got, it was only $1.75 and $.25 for every balm after that. This applies to single balms to, so it's worth it to go with the 4-pack. I've seen some shops set their shipping at $2 per balm and $1 for ever balm after that. It adds up quick, and can get pretty irritating. It's always nice to find a shop that doesn't try to squeeze as much money as possible out of their customers by overcharging for shipping.

APPEARANCE:
These balms come in the average .15oz tube, in clear. The labels are fairly simple, with the shop name, lip balm flavor, and ingredients listed. They are mostly white and black, except for the text for the flavors. Also, the tree logo for DECA Candle has a bit of color. Overall, they have a nice, simple appearance.

INGREDIENTS:

Beeswax, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and flavoring. There is also honey in the honey flavored lip balm. I was actually drawn to this shop for the ingredients in their balms! It is very similar to Bohemian Beetnik's NOT! Petroleum Jelly and I wanted something that felt similar, but would be more convenient to carry around!

TEXTURE & GLIDE:

These balms feel slick and buttery going on! Once you put it on, it feels really glossy at first. But then, it starts to sink in and you can't even tell you have anything on your lips unless you smack them. It's kind of nice when I find a balm like this. Nice and light with no "smother". Also, I've found that the honey lip balm with the added honey in it has a slightly different texture. It feels a bit more silky and glossy and longer lasting. Quite delightful, actually!

MOISTURIZING ABILITIES:

It doesn't seem like this would be the most moisturizing balm ever, considering how light it is. But I do have noticeably softer lips after use! Sometimes I don't even need to reapply after using these balms. As much as I love applying various balms throughout the day, sometimes it's just more convenient to only do so a few times a day. These balms are great for such days.

WEAR:

Because the balms are light, they are not going to last all day. But they will last a decent amount of time. I'd say about 2-3 hours without food or drink. But again, even after it's gone, you don't really need to reapply.

SCENT & FLAVOR:

I ordered these balms in 3 different flavors:

• Bubble Gum: Ohhmyygoddd, I LOVE this flavor! I actually didn't think I'd care for it too much, but thought I'd try it. It smells exactly like Double Bubble bubble gum. My sister-in-law AND cousin love this scent to, and I'm pretty sure my mom would steal it from me if she ever found it.
• Honey: This doesn't exactly scream honey to me. It is a very mildly scented balm, which can sometimes be quite refreshing. It has a very light, nutty honey scent. For some reason, honey always smells nutty to me. Does anyone else get that? Anyway, it also smells a bit waxy. It's not by any means an unpleasant smell, just not as honey-ish as one would expect. Anywho, I would like to stress again that this balm uses actual honey, which makes it feel amaaazing!
• Unflavored: As one could expect, this doesn't really have a scent or flavor. You get the slight waxy smell from the ingredients. It smells like plain old lip balm, for that is what it is! I actually use this a lot more than I thought I would -- it's nice to have an unflavored balm on hand!

BUY AGAIN?

Oh for sure I'm going to be buying more of DECA Candle balms in the future! Personally, I want to try out the cherry vanilla flavor. I also need to order more bubble gum flavors to give to the people in my life who I know will really appreciate the scent. I love these balms -- they are simple and perfect. You should order some too for you won't regret it!
